We’re delighted to announce that Danielle Nagao, our indomitable Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is among the 2023 nominees featured in the Orange County Business Journal CFO of the Year Awards. For this honor, Danielle has been nominated in the category of Not-For-Profit Organizations.

Danielle has been the Project Access chief financial officer for over three-plus years. She left a high-profile position at Deloitte to join the non-profit sector here at Project Access to help vulnerable communities nationwide.

Having Danielle bring her expertise and background has been transformational for Project Access, not only for her business acumen and rigor but also in human capital and assets with oversight of our People Operations and Technology areas during the COVID pandemic. As Project Access has continued to grow and evolve, Danielle has helped the organization meet its ever-changing needs and challenges throughout its 100 thriving communities in 16 states.

Most importantly, Danielle is an out-of-the-box thinker and an exemplary model of what a CFO should strive to be, providing oversight of our fiscal resiliency and ensuring our altruistic resiliency in preserving and fostering human capital and communities both externally and externally internally with our Project Access team.

We congratulate Danielle and wish her good luck when recipients are announced on May 11 at the Marriott Hotel in Irvine, California.
