The period between the Thanksgiving and the end of the year is often referred to as “The Season of Giving.” So, it seems only fitting that for over a decade Project Access has been presenting its “Spread the Joy” campaign throughout the holiday season and now we have launched our 2021 iteration.

“Perhaps more so than at any other time of year, the ‘Spread the Joy’ campaign allows the best of Project Access to shine as we come together with our community partners, local businesses, and supporters to bring holiday magic and cheer to our thousands of residents from California to Florida, that’s eighty plus communities in thirteen states across the country!” says Chris Baiocchi, Chief Development Officer at Project Access. “I can’t think of a better way of giving, and supporting at-risk families, than through our annual ‘Spread the Joy’ initiative.”

Through everyone’s goodwill, participation, and support Project Access provides access, throughout the holiday season and beyond, to critical programs that bridge the gap in education, health, and finances for our residents, keeping their households strong and stable. Our specific holiday efforts also bring community residents together through holiday celebrations that foster connections and engagement.

If you want to help “Spread the Joy,” here’s your opportunity. You can help bring holiday fun and whimsy to Project Access youth by organizing a toy drive. We need new, unwrapped toys (valued at $10 or more) for children ages 6-18. These are our gift suggestions:

  • Arts & Craft Sets
  • Barbie Dolls
  • Bath & Body Works
  • Bicycles & Helmets
  • Board Games
  • Electronics
  • Gift Cards to Target/Walmart
  • LEGOs
  • Sports Equipment
  • Toy Cars

Also, throughout November and December we host events and activities for our residents and rely on volunteers to make holiday magic happen. If you’re interested in volunteering at a local Project Access Resource Center, please contact Linda Tran at or (949) 594-1810.

Lastly, if Father Time is being Scrooge-like with your spare hours during the holidays you can always make a 100% tax-deductible contribution:
