A new collaboration with Union Bank assists Project Access in helping the residents of the Warwick Square in Santa Ana, California, become a safer, more cohesive community.

Project Access operates Family and Senior Resource Centers in low-income and workforce housing communities. Its programs, delivered right in residents’ backyards, provide tools and opportunities to under-resourced individuals so they can stabilize and empower themselves and their households. This approach to service delivery embeds Project Access into the fabric of the community, allowing the non-profit to build trust with its residents while also eliminating significant service barriers like transportation, childcare, and cost. In 2020, Project Access impacted more than 22,500 unique residents.

“We are proud to support this important community initiative with financial and volunteer resources,” said Rossina Gallegos, Union Bank corporate social responsibility officer for Orange County. “Our colleagues teach financial education to Warwick Square residents to help empower better informed financial decisions.”

Annual sponsorship and adoption of a Resource Center by organizations such as the MUFG Union Bank Foundation help support Project Access programs in four key areas: health and wellness, education for youth, economic stability, and community building. With more than 70 locations across the country, there are many opportunities to Adopt a Resource Center and to help our residents with education, empowerment, and engagement.
