Project Access Planned Giving Program

Making a commitment to Project Access through your will or other estate planning vehicle is an effective way to ensure that critical services are provided to low-income families and seniors for generations to come.  A Planned Gift allows you to manage your assets during your lifetime, while taking comfort in the knowledge that you have made a commitment to help disadvantaged children, families and seniors into the future.

Some Examples of Planned Gifts

  • Bequests – the simple, revocable bequest is the easiest way to demonstrate your commitments to Project Access.  This approach allows you to provide for your heirs, while designating a portion of your estate to help support Project Access’s mission.  There can be financial incentives for taking this route, designed to help you make an impact on the future of disadvantaged families and seniors.
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts – Charitable Remainder Trusts provide tax benefits, in addition to providing an annuity stream of income for you.  Most of all, you can have the personal satisfaction of making a major gift towards a cause you hold dear.
  • Charitable Gift Annuities – A gift annuity is a simple, contractual agreement between a donor and Project Access in which you give assets to us in exchange for our promise to pay one or two annuitants payments for life.
  • Charitable Lead Trusts – A Charitable Lead Trust is a trust that the estate owner establishes either during life or at death.  The income from the trust flows to Project Access, typically for a stated number of years.  After that period, the assets inside the trust are then distributed to your heirs.
  • Gifts of Life Insurance – Gifts of Life Insurance are predicated on the assumption that the protection provided by the insurance coverage is not needed by you or your family – giving you a chance to share the wealth!  You can name Project Access as the primary beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or you can realize immediate tax benefits by making an irrevocable assignment of an insurance policy to Project Access.  Either way, these dollars will help Project Access provide for low-income families and seniors into an uncertain future!
  • A Gift from your IRA – You can make gifts of your IRA either during your lifetime or beyond.  These gifts reduce your taxable estate at the same time they fulfill your desire to make a major impact on the lives of those living in low-income housing!
